Democracy and Totemism

Possibilities of a new scientific discipline called ethnic prognostics are demonstrated. The mechanism of performing an electoral presidential campaign is analyzed, however, not from the standpoint of political science, but rather from the viewpoint of alternative psychological approaches, so to say, from the viewpoint of inner motive powers of the campaign. An attempt of modeling the voter's inner world has been made, both in general and at each certain time moment, motivation of his actions is analyzed. Also considered is the concept of Totem: what is a Totem president and what is a Human president, and what is the difference between them. Why so many voters tend to totemism in its various manifestations and how can one use it in practice? The reader can compare how exactly the forecasts made by methods of ethnic prognostics came true.
Key words: democracy, state, social psychology.
